What You’ll Do- Perform daily field inspections on roadway, traffic signal, striping, signage, and pedestrian facility projects
- Verify compliance with plans, specifications, and agency standards (FDOT, MUTCD, local DOTs)
- Monitor contractor progress, track quantities, and prepare documentation for pay applications
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
- Coordinate with contractors, design engineers, utility providers, and public agencies to resolve field issues
- Support punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout documentation
- Maintain accurate, organized, and timely field records
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in construction inspection (transportation projects a plus)
- Familiarity with FDOT and MUTCD standards
- Experience with field documentation and tools (Site Manager, Bluebeam, e-Construction, etc.)
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
- Competitive salary + performance-based bonus opportunities
- Full benefits package (health, dental, 401(k), PTO)
- Exposure to diverse transportation projects across public and private sectors
- Supportive, people-first culture with clear opportunities for professional growth
