Demolition Estimator
We are seeking a skilled and driven Estimator / Demolition Estimator to lead the full estimating process for work across a range of project sizes—from small-scale jobs to large, complex demolition efforts. This role involves preparing estimates under various contractual formats, including Budgetary and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), starting from the initial receipt and review of bid documents.
Responsibilities- Analyze proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to define project scope and estimate requirements.
- Interpret and develop scope of work based on project documentation.
- Identify strategic advantages and implement them to support successful project awards.
- Create preliminary project schedules using information from bid documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages for construction projects to support the bidding process.
- Ensure all estimates and proposals are accurate, complete, and aligned with project goals.
- Provide conceptual and final estimating input for complex projects.
- Estimate general conditions and labor requirements.
- Draft clear scopes of work during the bidding phase and participate in subcontractor proposal review meetings; lead final evaluations and negotiations of subcontracts.
- Source and assess competitive quotes for materials and subcontractor services.
- Estimation and construction expertise.

- Proficiency in construction management and project scheduling.
- Knowledge of bid documents, subcontracts, and materials.
- Demolition and contract management skills.
- Industrial and demolition construction knowledge.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of successful estimating experience in light/heavy industrial or commercial construction environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in the demolition industry considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and contractual information.
- Proficient in standard business software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and other estimating tools.
- Capable of scheduling, leading, and documenting meetings effectively.
- Solid understanding of contractual requirements, including risk factors, scheduling constraints, insurance, bonding, and penalties.
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors to develop strategic action plans for both estimating and project execution.
This position is based onsite in Tampa, Florida, with occasional trips to project sites. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
