SUMMARYThe Healthcare Mitigation & Construction Foreman is responsible for day-to-day field operations. Working with the Project Director, they will create the ROM, project schedule, and ensure that they come in on time and within budget. The Healthcare Mitigation & Construction Foreman efficiently coordinates site specific activities in a professional and safe manner that aligns with Blue Team SOP’s and industry standards.
They will maintain a daily log of conditions, labor, equipment, activities, communications, and notable events. The Restoration Technician communicates with the Project Director, and owner informing them of current project conditions. They verify and approve work progress and completion. The Restoration Technician ensures a daily job site safety meeting has been conducted and maintains attention to the safety and protection of property and workers.
- Perform construction, renovation, mitigation, and maintenance tasks such as framing, drywall, flooring, ceilings, finishes, and general carpentry in healthcare and commercial facilities.
- Set up and maintain negative air machines, HEPA filtration systems, and dust containment in compliance with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures.
- Follow all hospital and facility safety, security, and cleanliness protocols when working in occupied environments.
- Support installation and modification of infrastructure systems (e.g., wall protection, casework, ceiling systems, and med gas supports).
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Ensure readiness for rapid deployment, including maintaining a stocked “go bag,” tools, PPE, and vehicle.
- May lead and supervise labor crews of up to 20 members, ensuring adherence to Blue Team SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain daily job site documentation including field reports, moisture readings, equipment logs, and photo documentation through the Blue Team App.
- Ensure daily job site safety meetings are conducted and that OSHA standards are followed at all times.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and safe working condition.
- Collaborate with Project Directors, Superintendents, and healthcare facility staff to plan and coordinate work while minimizing disruption to patient care.
- Communicate progress updates, site conditions, and any safety or project-related issues to management and client representatives.
- Lead crew lineups and safety briefings, ensuring full understanding of scope, expectations, and hazards.
- Ensure accurate completion of project paperwork, including daily sheets, crew logs, progress reports, and timesheets.
- Maintain readiness for deployment to emergency response and healthcare construction projects statewide.
- Assist with warehouse logistics, equipment inventory, and restocking.
- Travel extensively (up to 75%) and remain adaptable to extended stays on out-of-town projects.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including non-CDL box trucks up to 26’.
- Strong understanding of general construction practices, materials, and building systems.
- Familiarity with ICRA and infection control procedures within healthcare settings (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of IICRC/ANSI S500 and S520 Standards preferred.
- IICRC certifications in Water, Fire, Mold, or Applied Structural Drying (preferred).
