This is a position with Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in Tampa, Florida.

BASIC PURPOSE
:
The Senior Draper will coordinate all builds on the workroom floor with other draping teams. Senior Draper will partner with Craft Team, and Cosmo Team on costume rehabs and new build items. The Senior Draper is responsible for overseeing and participating in the budgeting, construction, ordering of supplies, fittings, and scheduling of build teams for all products being produced in the Tampa Studio Workroom.

Senior Draper is responsible for supervision of their build teams.

• Pay starts at $25.00 per hour, contract position.
• Oversee the completion of both made-to-order and altered costumes for all NCLH productions.
• Lead the workroom staff, including, but not limited to:
  First Hands, Stitchers, Crafts persons, and over hire contract workers.
• Expedites costume production within scheduled deadlines.
• Attends fittings as necessary for troubleshooting and production continuity.
• Oversee the timely inclusion of fabrics/notions into costume productions.
• Partners with Shop Supervisor/Workroom Manager to provide supplies, especially stock fabrics, notions and materials to the workroom in a timely manner.
• Oversee construction build timeline and process to keep on budget and schedule.
• Acts as liaison with Costume Leads for fittings and production notes.
• Acts as a liaison with Costume Leads for the smooth transition of costumes from shop to dress parade/tech/dress runs.
• Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

EDUCATION: Masters degree with a major in Costume Production or Theatrical Costuming experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of relevant and work-related skills and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years’ experience as a draper/pattern maker in a professional costume shop. Professional experience is preferred, but similar professional costume shop experience and/or educational experience with supervisory or management experience will also be considered. The candidate should have a mastery of costume construction and fabrication techniques, and knowledge of cutting, draping, patterning, and costume and fashion history.

Well versed in budgeting and forecasting future production needs.

• Knowledge of and general experience in theatrical cutting, stitching and crafts.
• Demonstrated experience in management.
• Basic knowledge of costume history and musical productions.
• Working knowledge of costume materials including, but not limited to:
  Fabrics, notions, craft supplies.
• Working knowledge of machinery used in the costume industry including, but not limited to:
  Industrial and domestic single and multi-needle sewing machines, steam irons and cutting tools.
• Working Knowledge of safety standards and the implementation of same.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Computer Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point.
