Dental Assistant – Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
OverviewWe are looking for like‑minded people to join our group practice whose vision is creating beautiful smiles while making lasting impressions and touching patients’ hearts.
Benefits- Work hours 7:45 am–4:30 pm (Monday–Thursday) with a one‑hour lunch;

- Provide superior chair‑side clinical support and assistance to doctors—including charting, patient education, operatory set‑up, and clean‑up.
- Manage patient flow; redirect efforts as needed, prioritize the next operating room for doctors, and update doctors on patient status.
- Welcome and greet patients in the reception area with a personal introduction.
- Take and process X‑rays.
- Perform patient hand‑offs.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans at the doctor’s direction using the operational system.
- Verify that the patient’s clinical service needs are met; take appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
- Escort patients to check‑out.
- Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
- Monitor laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day’s schedule.
- Maintain emergency kits, first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tanks.
- Follow maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor on a weekly basis.
- Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office, including dental equipment and handpieces.
- Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑ray safety, and other required certifications and registrations.
- Education:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Minimum 1‑year job‑related experience in a dental or medical setting.
- Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems.
- Demonstrated positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Background check required.
- Bilingual is a plus but not required.
