Studio Design Leader (Architecture) – Life and Work Places

The Studio Design Leader (SDL) is responsible for providing leadership and coordinating efforts to achieve design excellence within the market. The SDL will work in close partnership with the Executive Vice President, Market Design Leader, and Practice Leaders to cultivate a culture of design excellence on projects within the market by emphasizing the application of the Firm's Design Vision. Projects include large-scale mixed-use, office, and multi-family residential.

• Provide leadership and direction for the execution of the entire design for architectural projects within the Life and Work Places market.
• Lead, collaborate, and mentor design teams on overall design concepts and presentation strategies for client projects.
• Provide oversight of projects to ensure successful, quality outcomes with a focus on the application of the firm's Design Vision.
• Collaborate with Project Executives and other designers in business development and marketing activities.
• Serve as the primary design interface with clients and consultants.
• Act as a resource to other designers within the Market.
• Maintain communication with the project team, the Project Executive, and operations management.
• Mentor junior design staff to provide design and career guidance.
• Be able to travel for project assignments as needed.
• Create and sustain client relationships, and foster new relationships to grow the new design practice.

• Bachelor's of Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited university, or a 4-year degree with a Master of Architecture.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Excellent design skills.
• Proficiency with design software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with the design team and clients.
• Commitment to advancing the firm's Design Vision.
