Senior Project Manager – Aviation Architecture

We are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager - Aviation Architecture to join our National Award Winning Architectural Practice. Those interested should be proactive, approach design challenges with a willingness to explore lots of ideas, and value diverse perspectives during the design process.

• Prepare strategic plans for project success.
• Primary client liaison to bring schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and client satisfaction.
• Manage client budget, schedule, program, as well as HNTB’s budget and schedule.
• Administer project communications and documentation; oversee office administrative tasks and project team assignments.
• Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts on small to medium size projects.
• Coordinate all project efforts, both administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost‑effective execution.
• Coordinate work efforts and review work performed.
• Integrate quality control measures during all phases of design.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field and 12 years of relevant experience.
• 4 years of successful management of Architecture projects.

• Minimum 15 years of experience on aviation architecture projects.
• Recognized Project Manager in the aviation industry.
• Registered Architect.
• NCARB Preferred.
• LEED AP Preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills.
• Experience leading and managing a team of multidisciplinary planners, architects, and engineers in the planning and design of aviation facilities.
• Understanding of terminal programming and planning.
• Experience managing contracts for large terminal design ($200M+) and larger valued terminal projects is a plus.
• Understanding of airport and airline client relationships.
• Experience delivering Design‑Build projects is a plus.
• Ability to work at the project location and/or frequent travel is required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
