About The Role

Baker Barrios Architects is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join team. This position is open to licensed professionals or non-registered graduates with 8+ years of related experience in architecture. As a Senior Architect at Baker Barrios, you will play a pivotal role in the project delivery process, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specialized systems and representing the lead technical viewpoint on projects.

You will collaborate closely with Project Management, other Architects, consultants, and Practice Leaders to develop effective technical solutions and ensure the highest standards of quality in all phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full support throughout the project delivery process, including design development, documentation, and construction.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specialized architectural systems and guide the team on technical aspects of the project.
• Collaborate with Project Management, fellow Architects, and consultants to deliver successful projects that meet client needs and project goals.
• Work closely with the Practice Leader to develop appropriate technical solutions, product strategies, and innovative design solutions.
• Lead coordination efforts during the construction process, ensuring compliance with Baker Barrios' quality standards and construction documents.
• Ensure all aspects of the design meet building codes, specifications, and engineering systems coordination.
• Oversee all phases of the project, from technical design through to construction phase services.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional or non-registered graduate in Architecture. 8+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, with a strong command of Revit.
• Ability to direct, coordinate, and collaborate effectively with project team members and consultants.
• Experience in all project phases, including technical design, documentation, and construction phase services.
• In-depth understanding of building codes, specifications, and engineering systems.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery processes and ability to navigate complex design challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal coordination and client-facing communication.
• Collaborative, proactive, and professional approach to team coordination and project execution.
