Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and visionary University Campus Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and extensive experience in urban and campus planning. This role involves strategic planning, design oversight, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to shape and enhance the physical development of the university campus.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement long-term campus master plans that align with the university's strategic goals and academic mission.
- Lead site analysis, space utilization studies, and feasibility assessments to optimize campus growth and development.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, university leadership, and external consultants to ensure cohesive and sustainable design solutions.
- Provide guidance on land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance for campus projects.
- Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder meetings to incorporate diverse perspectives into planning initiatives.
- Monitor and review proposed construction and renovation projects to ensure consistency with master plans and design standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and visual materials to communicate planning concepts and progress effectively.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in urban planning, sustainable design, and higher education facility development.
- Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in urban and campus planning, preferably within an academic or institutional environment.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, land use planning, and campus infrastructure.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to analyze complex spatial data and develop innovative, practical solutions.
- Proficiency with planning and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory frameworks related to campus development.
- Experience working in higher education settings.
- Familiarity with state and local zoning laws affecting educational institutions.
