Advent Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced, board‑certified OB GYN physician to serve as Program Director of our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Advent Health Tampa.

We are developing a state‑of‑the‑art residency program, currently comprising three residents per year, and the Program Director will be responsible for designing and leading the program in compliance with ACGME guidelines. The role requires balanced administrative time, teaching residents and medical students, providing patient care and surgery, and enhancing program visibility to attract and retain residents.

• Develop and lead the residency program in compliance with ACGME requirements.
• Teach residents, medical students and assist in curriculum development.
• Provide patient care and perform surgery as appropriate.
• Dedicate administrative time to program operations and faculty meetings.
• Work to increase academic activity, including research, posters, and presentations.
• Promote program visibility and increase the number of accepted residents each year.

• M.D. or D.O.
• Active Florida license (or eligibility for an active Florida license).
• Board certification through ABOG or AOA.
• Five years of faculty experience as a Program Director or an Associate Program Director (or equivalent).
• Experience with graduate medical education and program administration.
• Strong communication skills and alignment with Advent Health’s mission and vision.

The new program will begin in 2024 and will be housed in the Advent Health Tampa facility, a 626‑bed tertiary hospital. The residency will feature modern surgical suites and collaboration with other departments, providing a comprehensive educational experience.
