Aboutthe USF Department of OB/GYN
The department offers ACGME‑approved fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. Its Research Division in Reproductive Science and Gynecologic Oncology has well‑established, funded lines of basic/translational research.
Minimum Qualifications- Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
- For Associate or Full Professor – normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care, and be a Florida medical license holder or eligible for one.
- Positive factors for consideration include an excellent record of clinical care with several years of teaching/supervising experience, demonstrated leadership skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team‑based environment. New OBGYN graduates with academic career interests will also be considered.
- Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery, and complete maternal care; co‑manage patient care with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine faculty.
- Report to a Chair or other appropriate higher‑level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities, including academic advising and related duties. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
