Overview
Hematopathologist position at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt Cancer Center Faculty Position:
Hematopathologist with primary focus on bone marrows. The appointment is in the Hematopathology and Laboratory Medicine section of the Department of Pathology.
We are affiliated with large and expanding programs in Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplant, with strong emphasis on myelodysplasia, acute leukemia and lymphoma. Our growing CAR-T cell program offers opportunities to combine diagnostic pathology and immunotherapy. The candidate will be a member of a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists, with opportunities to join established basic research programs and translational research in related areas.
We train pathology residents and Hematopathology fellows.
- Board certification in Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology, and Molecular Pathology or board certification eligibility. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology is also preferred.
- Clinical duties include evaluation of peripheral blood, bone marrow and lymph node specimens and molecular diagnostic and NGS testing.
- Candidates must have molecular pathology training.
- Experience in an academic multi-disciplinary university clinical setting is preferred.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida is required.
