Abdominal​/Body Imaging Radiologist- Tampa, FL- Academic Appointment

Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida is currently seeking a full-time or part-time Body Radiologist to join our team in Tampa, FL. You will be working at Tampa General Hospital, the #1 transplant hospital in the country, and will have a full academic appointment at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Daily workflow involves close collaboration with medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as other attending radiologists for tough cases and lunch breaks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in reading all aspects of body imaging and general diagnostic radiology, and will be interested in continually improving through a challenging case mix and eager trainees.

RAF is a leading radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.

Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa. In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years.

We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

• Fellows and residents welcome to apply
• Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
• Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
• Body fellowship trained
• Procedural skills (biopsies and drainages) would be considered a plus, but not required
• MQSA would be considered a plus, but not required
• Medical license or the ability to obtain a license in the state of FL

The salary range for this position is $500,000-$1,000,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location, etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
