Role Mission:
The role of the Testing Coordinator is to help ensure 100% of students perform to the best of their ability in an environment that is conducive to testing. Through the work of the testing coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data‑driven decisions that are made for all students at IDEA Public Schools. Ensuring that 100% of students get the appropriate test, accommodations and testing environment will help us achieve the goal of our mission of 100% of students to and through college.

When this work is executed successfully, the leadership team can focus on the social‑emotional support of students and family‑engagement work.

What We Offer Compensation
  • Hourly rate ranging between $16.96 for 0 years of experience and $21.20.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Educational testing experience preferred.

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

Campus earns an A rating by the Texas Education Agency.

Testing Environment and Planning

  • Ensure 100% of students at the school/campus have high‑quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests.
  • Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team.
  • Own learning by actively participating in the TC TEAMS group and scheduled trainings; review training materials after the training.
  • Create and communicate the campus testing plan for every district, state and/or national assessment administration.
  • Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ parents/families.
  • Coordinate with campus IT technician to ensure all computers for online testing are updated and ready before test day.
  • Ensure all applicable testing coordinators and students have access to the appropriate online testing system.
  • Prepare 100% of testing bins 72 hours in advance of the testing date.
  • Review all testing bin contents with test proctor 2 days prior to the testing date.
  • Audit accommodation and supplemental materials with the special population point person (SPED, ELL, 504, RTI) prior to the testing date.
  • Process and manage state assessment materials following district guidelines and check in/out from the national Assessment Team.
  • Audit paper state test booklets and answer documents for accuracy before returning to the national Assessment Team.
  • Execute 100% of deliverables requested by the national Assessment Team on time.
  • May be appointed as the school’s designated ACT, PSAT, or AP Coordinator.

Quality Control and Reporting

  • Lead campus testing training to teach staff the policies and procedures.
  • Schedule biweekly meetings with each school special point person to ensure accommodations are updated.
  • Schedule meetings with each test proctor at least 2 days ahead of test.
  • Oversee testing sessions to ensure compliance of test proctors, support staff, and leaders.
  • Provide feedback after each testing session to staff and leaders.
  • Set up and monitor online testing systems to ensure 100% of students are tested in approved format and accommodations.
  • Partner with campus IT tech to ensure 100% of equipment is prepared 48 hours in advance.
