The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within an elementary school.

• Design and implement appropriate instruction according to state standards, district curriculum, and students’ needs.
• Create a positive educational climate based on respect and rapport.

• Evaluate student performance, monitor assessment data, and maintain records.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively and apply disciplinary procedures as needed.
• Communicate with parents and staff about student progress and encourage parental involvement.
• Ensure health and safety precautions are followed and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Maintain necessary certifications and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Effective communication, job knowledge, judgment, project management, and planning skills are essential. The position requires a Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Elementary Education, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and physical ability to perform activities such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
