Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $19.00/hr

• Assisting the teacher(s) with maintaining a classroom environment conductive to effective learning.
• Assist with observing, collecting and reporting student academic and behavioral data.
• Assist with the implementation of a functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan.
• Assist with the design of an academic program based on the assessed needs of students.
• Implement reinforcement schedules as established in the behavior intervention plan.
• Provide all levels of crisis intervention as necessary throughout the campus.
• Participate in trainings to remain current on techniques and services related to crisis prevention/intervention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

All employees are expected to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance; to support Pepin Academies vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan; to engage in civility, respect, and professionalism; and to maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Trained in Pepin Academies approved positive behavioral strategies used to prevent or deescalate behavior, or an agreement to complete the training within a designated timeframe and renew annually.

• Associate degree.
• Experience in a similar position or with students with disabilities.
• Training in approved positive behavioral strategies (e.g., CPI).
• Satisfactory completion of American Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses.
• Demonstrated proficiency on the Para Pro Assessment Test.
