Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for Teachers to join our team!

Pay starts between $16.00 to $18.00 based on education and experience. All employees are awarded ongoing pay raises based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

We will be closed for Christmas break starting Wednesday, December 24, and will reopen on Monday, January 5th.

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

• We will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate)

• Help implement the lesson that the lead teacher created.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpoles App)
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• 45 DCF Training Hours (One year to complete all courses and exams)
• CDA preferred
• Understanding of the principles of child development
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
