Berkeley Preparatory School, located on a beautiful 86‑acre campus in the Tampa Bay area, invites applications for a full‑time Physical Education teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. Candidates will work with students in grades 1–5, collaborate with department teammates, Lower Division teachers, and the administrative team to support students’ physical, emotional, and social development.

Position SummaryFull‑time, exempt, salary position starting August 2026. The Physical Education teacher plans instructional programs and teaches lessons that are age‑appropriate and address individual student needs. The teacher works closely with department colleagues, Lower Division teachers, and the administration to ensure all students make progress in physical and social‑emotional development.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and deliver instruction for physical education courses for grades 1–5.
- Design lessons that meet developmental needs, promote physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
- Collaborate with Physical Education department teammates, Lower Division teachers, and administrative staff.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.
- Contribute to school life and support a culturally diverse environment.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement.
- 3–5 years of teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- Positive outlook, sense of humor, and appreciation for young child development.
- Strong willingness to receive feedback and grow professionally.
- Ability to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.
