Sun Vena is seeking a highly motivated Service Technician to join our team. The role reports to the Service Manager and involves completing service calls, diagnosing and troubleshooting solar panel systems, and performing electrical, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Sun Vena’s photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable traveling to customer sites for equipment repairs, installing and testing products, and instructing customers on proper usage. Successful technicians will possess strong technical and mechanical skills, with basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on PV inverters, string boxes, solar panels, and other components.
• Assist with the commissioning of solar arrays and monitoring systems during installations.
• Ensure PV systems are correctly set up and installed.
• Conduct re-roofs, roof repairs, and drywall repairs as needed.
• Install hardware, PV modules, inverters, and monitoring equipment.
• Commission inverters and inspect solar panels.
• Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment mechanically and structurally.
• Respond to maintenance issues, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing PV inverters, string boxes, and solar panels.
• Wire solar arrays and systems (AC and DC).
• Perform voltage testing following PPE and safety procedures.
• Adhere to organizational quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Have experience with electrical panels, sub-panels, and conduit work.
• Work with monitoring equipment such as Cat5, Zigbee, routers, and extenders.
• Troubleshoot inverter production issues.
• Understand various solar equipment brands (Enphase, Tesla, Solar Edge, SMA).
• Electrical troubleshooting for power outages, shorts, faults, etc.
• Understand battery backup systems (Enphase, LG, etc.).
• Work with metering equipment for production and consumption.
• Complete RMAs and document projects properly.

Qualifications :

• Capable of working safely at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
• Physically able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment.
• Willing to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and stand for extended periods.
• Meet physical requirements including bending, lifting over 50 lbs, and working in various environments.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
