Reliability Engineer

Reliability Engineer – Clarios, Tampa, FL

This role reports to the Maintenance Engineering Manager within the Refining Department. It’s a hands‑on, high‑impact position focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting capital projects from concept through commissioning.

• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot day‑to‑day equipment malfunctions and deliver engineered solutions that minimize downtime.
• Lead small capital projects, managing scope, budget, and startup support within schedule.
• Own reliability performance for assigned plant areas, proactively addressing issues along the P‑F curve.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses to guide repair, replacement, or redesign decisions with minimal operational impact.
• Develop and maintain KPI metrics, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for performance tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput through routine analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Proven background in reliability engineering and equipment performance optimization.

• Experience managing small capital projects from design through commissioning.
• Familiarity with MRO supplier evaluation and technical maintenance service providers.
• Proficiency in maintaining and updating technical documentation and engineering drawings.
