Project Bridge Design Engineer (Finance)

Arcadis is currently seeking a Project Bridge Design Engineer to join our National Bridge Group in Tampa, FL. Arcadis's Bridge Group delivers best in class technical and innovative solutions to our clients on the design, delivery, and management of these critical structural resources to our State, municipal and design-build clients. In this position, you will assist in the technical design and plan production for projects of varying sizes.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your design skills in a collaborative team environment and to work on multi-state projects.

Role accountabilities
  • Design of new bridges and bridge widenings
  • Design of retaining walls and other transportation-related structures
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines for project delivery
  • Provide directions to junior level staff inside the project team, as needed.
Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years' relevant experience in bridge engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation-related structures, including experience with AASHTO LRFD
  • Familiarity with LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MathCAD, Microstation, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with FDOT policies and procedures highly desired
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
  • Ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
  • Solid communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals
  • A valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with FDOT, SCDOT, GDOT, and/or TxDOT bridge policies and procedures desired
  • Bridge Maintenance experience
  • Bridge Inspection experience
  • Design‑Build experience

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
