Telecom Project Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position can support various markets throughout the DMV area, Tampa, FL, or Salt Lake City, UT. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The Deputy Project Leader will assist in leading the design, deployment, and management of complex telecommunications infrastructure projects.

• Support design and deployment of integrated infrastructure and telecommunications systems (Fiber Optic, Structured Cabling, CCTV, DAS).
• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to project documentation, layout planning, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings, monthly reviews, and resource forecasting.
• Help drive financial management and profitability while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• 2-5+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems.
• Experience with project management, financials, estimation, planning, and scheduling related to telecom construction projects.
• Experience with tools including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Accubid, or related technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

• Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000 depending on experience.
