We have an immediate opening for Junior Structural Engineers in our Tampa, FL office. The role involves providing structural design engineering support for marine and heavy civil structures such as port facilities, wharves, liquid cargo terminals, container terminals, cruise terminals, bulkheads, docks, piers, and marinas.
Responsibilities- Work with the Engineering & Structural Design team to achieve departmental goals.
- Collect data, gather information, and prepare drawings and visual aids.
- Perform standard computations and analyses.
- Observe construction activities to determine best design applications.
- Perform basic survey work as required.
- Apply prescribed techniques and procedures per engineering criteria.
- Assist in the inspection of existing waterfront structures and design repairs/upgrades.
- Maintain personal safety and enforce safety policies.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- Report violations promptly.
- Perform other related administrative and technical duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
BS degree in Civil Engineering with a structural or geotechnical track and 0‑4 years of experience. Must have completed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam with E.I. certification or E.I.T. Working knowledge of basic structural analysis using concrete and/or steel elements. Travel, including international travel, is required.
Additional requirements include strong communication skills, high integrity, discretion, organization, self‑starter, flexibility, and attention to detail.
