Overview

HEICO Corporation is recruiting an Engineering & Quality Compliance Technician for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on supporting Materials Engineering and Quality in evaluating supplier materials documentation and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Materials Engineering and Quality in performing an in-depth documentation review of received materials and process certifications from suppliers, and analyze them for correctness and compliance.
  • Interface with outside vendors to close gaps in required materials certification paperwork.
  • Assist in preparing documentation required to send parts to outside Materials Analysis labs.
  • Support in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, hardness, and passivation testing (training will be provided).
  • Other duties as assigned by Materials Engineering.
Education / Prior Experience And Requirements
  • Associate’s degree with minimum 2 years experience; or minimum five years of experience in a related engineering or quality field.
  • Experience with aerospace, automotive, or medical grade materials is a plus.
  • Prior experience understanding Aerospace Materials Specifications (AMS), ASTM, AS, MIL, NAS specifications is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of different types of metallic and non-metallic materials, metal chemistry elements, finishing processes, and materials specifications.
  • Proficiency in PC-based Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and willingness to learn about aerospace materials.

To succeed, the candidate should be detail-oriented and a team player with the ability to articulate findings. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. No relocation is provided.
