Position Summary DescriptionPerforms as part of a team that manages a centralized North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standards compliance monitoring and reporting process to assure Seminole's auditable compliance with FERC, NERC, & SERC Reliability Standards as well as FERC Standards of Conduct. Works on long term compliance engineering projects for Seminole subject matter experts (SMEs) addressing electric reliability requirements for power plant, transmission, and system operation business functions.
Communicates with SMEs and outside consultants regarding NERC Reliability Standards and engineering analyses.
Working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, information technology, or similar degree with an emphasis in auditing or corporate risk management may be considered. Co‑op students are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, and work approximately 20 hours a week.

- Participates in the development of compliance workflows and processes.
- Participates in the drafting of corporate procedures and other related technical documents.
- Participates in meetings with senior staff and management to identify and address potential areas of non‑compliance and anticipate future compliance requirements.
- Participates in the training of power plant, system operations, load forecasting, and transmission staff regarding reliability requirements.
- Assists with the evaluation & preparation of procedural documentation, ongoing monitoring, testing, and remediation.
- Participates with team of personnel in the performance of audits, surveillances, and assessments.
- Other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.
Must be able to follow established protective measures including, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Working ConditionsSome travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.
