Storm Duty Requirements – Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies and disasters to maintain service to our customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment.

Position Concept: Supports data administration, configuration, testing, and distribution of geospatial and electrical grid models core to Electric Delivery (ED). Interprets maps and drawings and reconciles model changes in Tampa Electric’s GIS, ADMS, EMS and associated systems as instructed by senior team members. Works closely with technical team members to deliver solutions that meet current and future objectives of ED, aligned with company strategies and business plans.

PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Monitors supported applications (GIS, ADMS, EMS) to ensure data integrity and accuracy, supporting business operations and grid reliability. (30%)
- Performs basic configurations and tests of geospatial (GIS) and electrical (ADMS or EMS) models to coordinate energy delivery. (20%)
- Assists in design, development, and testing of ad‑hoc data queries, extracts, reports, and visual displays to support business needs. (15%)
- Performs basic connectivity model validation and modifications for consistent data across applications. (15%)
- Collects, analyzes, reviews, documents, and communicates business needs to programmers and technical team members. (10%)
- Supports small, non‑complex projects including evaluating current processes, automation, and software applications. (10%)
Internal: Works closely with GIS, ADMS, EMS Modelers, Network Modelers, Designers, Business Technical Consultants, ADMS Engineers, Transmission and Distribution System Operators. Interacts with all Electric Delivery departments and some departments outside ED.
External: Coordinates with the Reliability Coordinator in the Florida Power and Light team and neighboring utilities under FRCC guidance.
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associate or technical degree in business, design, engineering, or related technology. Associate or Bachelor Degree may substitute for some experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Preferred:
Certified GIS Professional.
