Active DoD Secret (must be able to obtain Top Secret)

9‑month contract (possibility for extensions)

• Level 2: $57.00/hr – $65.00/hr
• Level 3: $65.00/hr – $72.00/hr

Insight Global is seeking Cleared Aeromechanical Engineers to support a federal customer in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This role focuses on the engineering and design of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and systems
, including:

• Performing 2D design of parts for fabrication and assembly
• Developing and analyzing mechanical systems for aircraft (engines, airframes, etc.)
• Supporting manufacturing processes to ensure quality and performance standards
• Conducting simulations, testing, and prototyping

• Use Solid Works to design and modify parts and assemblies
• Create 2D drawings with BOM for fabrication and assembly
• Perform aerodynamic analysis and calculations
• Develop and analyze mechanical systems for aircraft (engines, airframes, avionics)
• Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping for validation
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electrical, software, systems engineers)
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Oversee manufacturing and assembly processes for mechanical components
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, and test results
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 4–8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with CAD software (Solid Works or CATIA)
• Experience with UAVs or RC aircraft
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
• Familiarity with 3D printing technologies
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

• Master’s degree in related fields
• Experience with Star‑CCM+ and XLFR
