Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – SFL7 RME (Amazon)
Amazon’s Operations rely on speed, accuracy, and exceptional service. Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) partners work behind the scenes to support that vision by maintaining and improving all Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You’ll also install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems with MHE (belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.).
- Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facility; lift up to 49 lbs, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching above the head.
- Support operational needs across multiple shift schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship Program or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
- 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting diagnostics of MHE.
- 1+ year experience with electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
- Associate's degree or higher in mechanical or electrical field.
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical field.
- 2+ years knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.

The base pay for this position ranges from $51,168 to $78,104 per year, varying by geographic market. Equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package. For more information, visit
