Job Description- Under direct supervision, performs basic compilation and analysis of site data and assists with the application of site data to further the preferred project approach.
- Under the direct supervision of a qualified professional, conducts field site investigations, performing soil, water, air, and other sampling, wetland delineation, wildlife/habitat surveys, and similar site investigations and documentation of results.
- Assists with the preparation of environmental studies (e.g., NEPA documents, field reports, feasibility studies) of basic complexity.
- Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and construction staff to implement the approved approach (e.g., restoration, remediation).
- Provides advice and expertise on the selected project approach.
- Contributes to firm's technical knowledge management by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, and similar.
- Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Performs other duties as required; may create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline. 0 years of experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required (80%).
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic knowledge of standard field protocols for the respective discipline.
- Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing environmental review and project implementation.
