Moss's VDC Field Technicians are responsible for collecting as‑built construction data that verifies and tracks whether project teams are building projects as designed. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 50 lb, walking entire job sites (often without vertical transportation, requiring stairs), and working in wet environments or outdoors. Personnel must adhere to site‑specific PPE standards—hard hats, safety glasses, footwear, and vest.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture 360° as‑built photos of all areas of the construction site
- Upload captures to photogrammetry software for processing and stitching
- Perform terrestrial LiDAR scans of entire construction sites or specific areas
- Travel to multiple construction sites in the South Florida region on a daily or weekly basis
- Work at elevations up to 1,000 ft
- Interpret architectural drawings, details, and specifications (a plus)
- Travel by car to various job sites around South Florida
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or Construction Management from an accredited program
- Ability to learn and interact with new hardware/software
- Verbal communication skills with the ability to understand directions and read work orders with location and project descriptions
- Strong attention to detail and quality in performing various types of reality capture
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to evaluate hazards and complete pre‑work task planning
