Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Cleared Aeromechanical Engineering resources to support our federal customer in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This person will be responsible for engineering and design of unmanned aerial vehicles and systems, carrying out 2D design of parts for fabrication and assembly, developing and analyzing mechanical systems for aircraft such as engines, airframes and more, aiding in the manufacturing process to ensure parts meet quality and performance standards, and conducting simulations, testing and prototyping to do so.

Required

Skills and Experience

4+ years of experience in aerospace or a related field
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical or a related engineering field
Experience with CAD software (Solid Works or CATIA)
Experience with UAVs or RC aircraft
Currently holds a Secret Clearance
Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 regulatory standards
Familiarity with 3D printing technologies
Experience with Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

Master's degree in the above degree fields
Experience with Star-CCM+ and XLFR
