Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Water Supply Engineering Planner based in Florida. The role supports water planning services and project execution nationwide, addressing challenges such as population growth, water stress, water quality, drought resilience, climate variability, and evolving reuse regulations.

Black & Veatch Operations develops and maintains global resources and capabilities to guide execution and process excellence, enabling collaboration, mobility of skills, and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop water management strategies and planning assessments.
- Support innovative water planning services, including integrated supply planning, master planning, potable reuse, and brackish water desalination.
- Provide water demand estimates and conservation assessments.
- Assist with planning-level estimates of project costs.
- Support water supply marketing efforts and build relationships with water leaders and decision makers across the US.
- Assist with permitting of water supply and water reuse projects.
- Interpret federal, state, and local codes, rules, and regulations.
- Prepare work plans, reports, and proposals.
- Collaborate with clients, business developers, and delivery teams to ensure deliverables meet client needs.
- Assist with project management duties including scope, budget, schedules, resources, and risk tracking.
- Assist with data management and interpretation for water resources, supply, and hydrogeologic projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in the water field, including water supply planning.
- Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science degree.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Experience in developing comprehensive reports and client-facing presentations.
- Experience leading project tasks and executing water planning projects.
- Experience with planning and permitting water reuse projects, including potable reuse.
- Strong data analysis skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent computer skills;
ArcGIS skills preferred.
Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment / ScheduleHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and assignments. Office environment involves computer usage and may include project site work.
