Senior Drainage Engineer (PE)

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to support transportation projects throughout Florida. This individual will play a key role in the planning, analysis, and design of stormwater systems for FDOT and local agency projects while serving as Engineer of Record on a variety of transportation assignments. • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for FDOT transportation projects
• Lead drainage design and stormwater management efforts for roadway and highway improvements
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, scour evaluations, and drainage studies
• Design drainage systems, ditches, stormwater facilities, and related infrastructure
• Prepare technical reports, permit packages, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Utilize HEC-RAS, ICPR, SWMM, and other industry software for modeling and analysis
• Conduct field investigations and coordinate with survey, roadway, and environmental teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 7+ years of drainage engineering experience supporting transportation projects
• Experience serving as Engineer of Record or signing and sealing drainage plans preferred
• Strong understanding of FDOT drainage design standards and permitting requirements
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, ICPR, Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, and/or FDOT Connect
• Experience working with FDOT and other Florida transportation agencies
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
