This Traffic Specialist IV position with the Florida Department of Transportation supports the development and review of engineering reports, manages professional service contracts, and coordinates traffic safety programs. The role involves analyzing engineering data, participating in cross-functional teams, and assisting with the District's safety work program and strategic highway safety planning.
Key qualifications:- High school diploma and four years of engineering, traffic studies, or traffic safety experience
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles, management practices, and Florida's Strategic Highway Safety Plan
- Skill in effective oral and written communications and use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret engineering data
- Ability to manage workload and work effectively with diverse groups
