Industry: Heavy Civil / Highway / Bridge / Infrastructure ConstructionA heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with work across Florida is hiring a Project Engineer out of its Tampa office. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Engineer or experienced Field Engineer with 5 to 8 years in civil construction who has managed multiple activities at once and wants a real path with a stable, well backed employer.

You'll own the engineering and project controls side of heavy civil highway work, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What You'll Be Responsible For Review the contract and specifications in their entirety

Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on day to day project needs

Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6

Track quantities, project costs and forecasting

Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts

Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing

Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings

Review Heavy Job daily reports for accuracy

Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track

What We're Looking For5 to 8 years of experience in the civil construction field, office and field

Experience managing multiple activities at once on heavy civil workB.S. in Civil Engineering, ideally with a Construction Engineering and Management emphasis

Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFDOT project experience is a plusHCSS Heavy Job experience is a plus Based in the Tampa Bay area or ready to relocate
