OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and private equity sponsors in a fast‑growing, multi‑unit restaurant platform. This role is responsible for leading all financial strategy, reporting, and execution while supporting value‑creation initiatives across operations, development, and M&A. The CFO will bring institutional rigor, strong business judgment, and the ability to operate in a high‑accountability, performance‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range modeling for the platform.
- Own unit‑level economics, margin improvement initiatives, and enterprise‑level profitability.
- Partner closely with operations to drive labor optimization, food‑cost control, and overhead discipline.
- Oversee accounting, controllership, tax, treasury, and internal controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to private‑equity sponsors and board members.
- Lead cash flow management, liquidity planning, and lender relationships.
- Support M&A activity, including financial diligence, integration planning, and post‑acquisition performance tracking.
- Build scalable financial infrastructure to support rapid growth, new unit development, and acquisitions.
- Evaluate and implement technology systems to improve reporting, visibility, and decision making.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
- Experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a multi‑unit restaurant or consumer‑facing business.
- Prior experience working in a private‑equity‑backed environment strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of restaurant unit economics, P&L management, and field operations.
- Proven track record of partnering with operations to drive measurable financial improvements.
- Experience supporting M&A, integrations, and growth initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with boards, investors, and lenders.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Clear, consistent, and trusted financial reporting for ownership and leadership.
- Improved visibility into unit‑level performance and margin drivers.
- Scalable financial systems that support growth without sacrificing control.
- Finance viewed as a strategic value‑creation partner, not just a reporting function.
