As a VP of Finance (Public Technology Company), you will lead our global finance and accounting functions in a publicly traded company. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, controls and transparency in a complex regulatory environment.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's global objectives and meet the expectations of shareholders, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive team, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a strategic financial partner to leaders of all functions within the business.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all global and local financial regulations, as well as SEC reporting requirements for a publicly traded company.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting as well as controls to safeguard company assets.

    Risk Management:
  • Manage the global financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with international operations.
  • Drive corporate finance IT systems strategy and execute on opportunities to leverage systems and automation to improve global finance processes.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process and address any findings promptly.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with international departments to establish financial targets that align with the company's global vision.
  • Provide accurate financial forecasts and analysis to facilitate strategic planning and performance measurement.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the global finance team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor, and develop the corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Establish clear expectations and provide opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving financial goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and efficiency. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Strong financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, including those suitable for international operations.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Extensive experience in senior financial roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership within global publicly traded companies; manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Exposure to SEC reporting and SOX compliance preferred.
