Business Tax Services - Private Tax Manager - High Net Worth Individuals ation:
Anywhere in Country. EY Private Tax is a growing practice within EY, with a dedicated focus toward serving privately held companies and their owners and their families. These clients range from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies, from startups to multi-billion-dollar global private enterprises. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and collaborate with a growing global team across cross-border and cross-functional settings.
EY supports development of technical tax knowledge as well as leadership and business acumen.
- Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
- Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
- Building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored service
- Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
- Maintaining professional knowledge and sharing best practices
- Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring quality and commercial value
- Identifying and responding to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by significant tax, business or financial planning experience
- A CPA certification or membership in The Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization
- Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
- Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
- Understanding of automated tax processing systems
- Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
- Commitment to continuing learning
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a balanced hybrid environment
- Ideally, experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client teams
- Tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to some of the world’s most influential people, from C-Suite executives to owners and their families, acting as trusted advisors to maintain and enhance EY’s reputation for excellence
- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including base salary ranges ($106,500 to $195,100; NYC Metro/Washington State/California adjustments). Total Rewards includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off
- Hybrid work model with most client-facing roles expected to work 40-60% in person
