AUDIT EVALUATION & REVIEW ANALYST - 1The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Position Summary: This Audit Evaluation & Review Analyst position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in Tampa, Florida or Orlando, Florida, and involves auditing complex multi-million‑dollar healthcare fraud investigations that can result in criminal and/or civil litigation.
Pay: $60,935.16 annually
Qualifications:
- Six (6) years of work experience in professional auditing or financial analysis; or
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field and at least two (2) years of related work experience; or
- A master’s or other advanced degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience; or
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) license can substitute for one (1) year of required work experience.
NOTE: All applicants who meet the screening criteria/minimum job requirements will be required to take a timed Skills Verification Test. Applicants must receive a core of at least 70% to move to the interview phase.
The Work You Will Do: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
40% – Use professional judgement and experience regarding Medicaid laws and regulations and provide financial expertise to the investigative team by:
30% – Serve as lead investigator on cases involving suspected cost‑report fraud and prospective payment system Medicaid provider fraud involving:
25% – Provide complex analysis and interpretation of:
5% – Perform other related duties as assigned.
