Summary
  • Plan, direct and manage all technical and financial aspects of the financial statements and forecasting for Bay Care Medical Services, LLC and Bay Care Medical Group, LLC, Bay Care Home Care, Baycare Outpatient Imaging, Baycare Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Baycare Urgent Care Centers.
  • Areas of responsibility include general ledger, accounting, forecasting/budgeting, financial analysis, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable.
  • Additional responsibilities include all aspects and calculations related to annual physician compensation payments, including quarterly settlements and annual compensation updates.
  • Oversaw the administration of Continue Medical Education funds and DEA, Occupational and professional licensure for physicians and offices.
  • Plan, directs and manages all aspects of Graduate Medical Education financial analysis, financial reporting and forecasting including interaction with government relations to support funds received.
  • Completes financial analysis for new GME programs, Acquisition Imaging centers and Surgery Centers, and physician practices along with transitions of community practices to the medical group.
  • It is critical for this person to be a Finance Business Partner, who provides dedicated financial support to senior leaders. This includes offering detailed feedback, insights, and recommendations on financial performance, with a focus on key business drivers to the leadership team. They must be able to explain the financial narrative, identifying risks and opportunities, and support in developing action plans to address any identified gaps.
  • This position is highly visible and requires a solid understanding of the business and its key drivers.
  • The individual must possess the ability to lead and motivate teams, exhibiting strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbally tell the “story”.
  • Value is provided to the organization by supporting the attainment of targets through a robust operating plan linked to strategic objectives, ongoing collaboration in the creation of forecasts, gap analysis, and action plans, as well as general analytic support.
  • They serve as a trusted financial advisor for senior leaders and act as the primary liaison between the business and shared services FP&A and reporting teams.
  • As a trusted financial advisor, the leader doesn’t just say “no”, but explains decisions to get to a positive outcome by telling the story.
  • Critical behaviors include active listening, clear communication, asking the right questions, balancing risks and opportunities, and providing clarity and transparency in business performance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required). | Preferred:
    Master’s degree in Business Administration.
  • Preferred Credentials: CPA (Accounting).
  • Required Experience:

    Minimum 8 years in Healthcare Finance & Operations, Minimum 5 years in Management.
