What is the role?
As a Senior Accountant (Controller Track), you’ll be a key part of the team that maintains and improves client accounting and financial records. You’ll ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and meaningful while managing the day-to-day execution of client projects. This includes hands-on accounting work, business process evaluation, documentation, and proactive problem-solving to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
What will you do?
- Own full and partial month-end closes
- Prepare reconciliations, financial statements, and performance analysis
- Support budget, forecast, and operational financial reviews
- Ensure GAAP compliance and implement client-specific controls
- Identify inefficiencies and design better processes using technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controllers, CFOs, Technology, Optimization)
- Present financial insights and recommendations to client leadership teams
- You’re proactive, organized, and a trusted partner for clients.
- You deliver on time, within budget, and communicate clearly.
- You leverage technology to reduce redundancies and drive efficiency.
- You think beyond the numbers — creating solutions that positively impact clients.
- Understanding of Accounting Principles.
- Bachelor's and/or master's in accounting, or finance.
- 5-7 years accounting experience. 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with multiple clients necessary.
- Experience as a consultant in a professional services firm, preferred.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
- Ability to follow processes for maintaining documentation and accounting integrity.
- Ability to switch cross-functionally between multiple engagements.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel).
- CPA or CMA preferred.
