The Sports Banking Analyst will support the Investment Banking team within the Women’s Sports Division, contributing research on sports team ownership transactions and capital raises. The role includes coordinating prospective client meetings, supporting relationship‑building efforts, and helping develop a newly established group serving women’s sports owners, executives, and investors. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be willing to obtain (or already holds) the appropriate investment banking licenses (SIE, Series 79, Series 63), which the firm is willing to sponsor.

Our core business is aligning and advising investors on sports‑related opportunities, with primary emphasis on sports team ownership transactions. We operate across both major and minor league team sports, as well as emerging sports leagues and enterprises.
Responsibilities- Initiate outreach and engagement efforts by arranging meetings and calls between the WSG investment banking team and potential clients and investors across the sports ecosystem for WSG’s women’s sports assignments
- Research the current women’s sports ecosystem, investor and team ownership transaction profiles, and industry trends
- Catalogue meeting and call details to capture key insights and action items
- Support relationship‑management efforts within the women’s sports industry
- 1‑3+ years of relevant experience within finance, investment banking, sports, private equity or similar background (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
- Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred)
- Willingness to learn and approach the role with enthusiasm (required)
- Experience or strong knowledge of the women’s sports industry will be considered a strong attribute (preferred)
- Existing relationships in the sports investment community (plus)
- Holding some, or all the required FINRA licenses (plus)
- Tampa Bay area residency (plus)
