Overview

Sr.

-Special Security Technician (Physical) role at Core One. This position supports the Special Security Officer in managing access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCIFs, conducting security briefings, processing visitor clearances, and overseeing SCI eligibility for personnel.

• Maintain physical and electronic security systems, perform SCIF and open storage inspections, manage access control and intrusion detection systems (AMAG/CCTV), and process SCIF accreditation, policy exceptions, and FVEY mitigation requests.
• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs); certify and receive SCI visitor clearances/accesses; conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material and SSO-related topics; obtain signed nondisclosure agreements; provide guidance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel.
• Conduct audits of classified material; inspect classified material storage facilities/SCIFs/containers; research and prepare classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports and recommendations.
• Manage and maintain access control to CCMD compounds and facilities, granting personnel/visitors appropriate physical access to command facilities and access-controlled areas.
• Physically inspect and document findings for SCIF accreditation; perform and maintain annual SCIF inspection checklists; maintain the Open Storage Inspection Program and perform annual inspections.
• Inspect, assess, and draft responses to requests for residential use and storage of sensitive/classified information and equipment; maintain online Access Control Database (ACD) and badge records in AMAG; monitor AMAG Intrusion Detection System/CCTV.
• Process FVEY Mitigation packages and SCIF accreditation requests for approval; maintain and process exceptions to SCIF policy requests for CCMD.
• Obtain DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years and recertify as required; maintain SFPC as required.

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility required.

  Minimum 12 years related to the labor category, with at least a portion in the last 2 years.

  Master’s degree in a related field or bachelor’s degree with accreditation; additional 5 years of related senior experience may substitute for the master’s degree.

• Required to obtain SFPC within 2 years and recertify as required.
