Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Behavioral Health Science and Practice (2 positions)

Location: 4202 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33620, US
Position Type: 9‑month tenure‑earning faculty positions (one Assistant Professor, one Open Rank). Salary commensurate with rank. Not remote.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate is expected to develop an independent program of research focused on behavioral health services, with potential research areas including:
- Mental health and substance use service access, utilization, policy, and financing
- Implementation science and behavioral health
- Technology in behavioral health (e.g., telehealth/eHealth, informatics)
- Machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics
- Integration of behavioral and physical healthcare
- Behavioral health research methods and statistics
- Populations facing barriers to use of behavioral health services
- Prevention, health promotion, and early intervention in behavioral health
- Behavioral health issues within justice systems
- Global behavioral health
- Behavioral healthcare in rural / remote areas
- Health communications in behavioral health
- Trauma‑informed care
- Veteran and first‑responder behavioral health
- Suicide prevention
- Population behavioral health
- Behavioral health workforce
- Administrative data acquisition and use
- Behavioral health across the lifespan
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DrPH, DSW) by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong publication record related to the foci of this position
- Demonstrated success or potential in obtaining external funding related to behavioral health services and policy research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Record of collaborative work with academic, community, and/or industry partners
- Documented evidence of previous and/or current grant activity commensurate with rank (Associate or Full Professor)
- Evidence of grant potential (Assistant Professor)
- Strong background in research methods and/or statistics
- Experience teaching at undergraduate or graduate levels
- Expectation to teach and mentor within undergraduate and/or graduate programs
