Overview
The Exercise Analyst provides analysis and reporting support for MARCENT exercises, ensuring exercise events inform readiness assessments and strengthen operational capabilities. This role provides analytical input into the design and conduct of exercises, collects and analyzes results to identify lessons learned, and supports the development of After Action Reviews. The analyst coordinates exercise documentation with MARCENT staff, CENTCOM, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of exercise outcomes with operational requirements.
By integrating detailed analysis with operational reporting, the Exercise Analyst enhances MARCENT’s ability to evaluate readiness and improve performance in joint and combined operations.
Location
:
Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff, with participation in exercise events and conferences.
- Provide analytical input into the design and conduct of MARCENT exercises.
- Collect, compile, and analyze exercise results to identify lessons learned.
- Support development of After Action Reviews.
- Coordinate exercise documentation with MARCENT staff and CENTCOM.
- Develop exercise objectives, concepts, METLs, plans, and budgets.
- Maintain JTIMS data, webpages, and exercise documentation.
- Produce and deliver weekly exercise briefings to leadership.
- Assist in identifying training gaps and incorporating lessons learned into future exercises.
- Contribute to SOPs and documentation processes for exercise planning and reporting.
- Support MARCENT participation in joint/coalition exercise planning conferences.
- Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting requirements.
- Ensure exercise documentation is archived according to records management standards.

Education/Experience/Qualification- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5–7 years of experience in exercise design, execution, and assessment/Joint Event Life Cycle (JECL) process.
- Expertise in developing exercise objectives, concepts, METLs, plans, and budgets.
- Experience maintaining JTIMS data and webpages.
- Experience producing and conducting exercise briefings.
- Familiarity with joint/combined exercise planning and evaluation.
- Strong report writing and analytical ability.
- Secret clearance required.
- Ability to evaluate exercise results and derive lessons learned.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for exercise documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exercise analysis tools.
- Collaboration skills to integrate MARCENT exercise objectives with joint/coalition efforts.
- Security clearance:
Secret required. - License and Other Requirements:
Valid U.S. Driver’s License; eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card.
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600. May require flexibility during major exercises.

TravelMay include CONUS and OCONUS travel to support MARCENT exercises and planning conferences.
