From routine eye exams and optical retail to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures, our patients experience end-to-end personalized care and service.

Full-time

• Collecting and recording patient medical history
• Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care, and exam expectations.
• Performing visual acuity testing, auto and manifest refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), and tonometry (measuring eye pressure)
• Measuring pupil size and reactivity using PERRLA
• Testing elements of movement (eye muscle function)
• Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement)
• Performing dry eye testing including Zone Quick and TBUT, interferometry, brightness acuity testing
• Participating in light cleaning of the facility
• Maintaining a sanitized environment
• Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, and B‑scan ultrasonography
• Assisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts.
• Preparing for and assisting with in‑office procedures including consenting patients
• Assisting with lasers or minor procedures

Travel may be required to support clinics in Hillsborough County. Pay is provided for travel time and reimbursement for mileage.

Required:

• Minimal of one year in a medical environment

Preferred:

• Certification through JCAHPO
• Bi‑lingual – English / Spanish (fluent)

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform manifest refraction is required.
• Ability to perform tonometry is required.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.
