Radiology Technologist – Correctional Facility
Naph Care is hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our team of medical professionals in Tampa, Florida, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Hillsborough County Jail. As a Correctional Radiology Technologist you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to perform diagnostic x‑ray procedures on patients within the facility.
This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.
- Pulling, filing, and scanning all radiological records
- Scheduling, performing, and documenting all radiological testing, including annual tuberculosis testing and emergency procedures
- Maintaining inventory, stocking, re‑ordering, and replacing radiology supplies
- Ensuring that all equipment related to radiology services is properly maintained and functioning
- Ensuring all state regulations comply with Radiation Control Programs
- Graduate of an accredited JCERT program
- Active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
- Pass facility’s criminal background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in operating various types of x‑ray equipment and other imaging technologies
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
- Excellent communication skills essential for interacting with patients, staff, and physicians
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems independently
- Integrity, professionalism, and adherence to a Code of Conduct and compliance with all facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
