The Flow Cytometry Test Development Scientist assumes the direct responsibility for planning and conducting the processes and testing required to evaluate, develop, validate and implement flow cytometry assays for patient clinical testing and research purposes. All activities must be conducted in compliance with CLIA and all other clinical laboratory regulatory requirements and focus on ensuring quality and optimizing efficient operations.
The employee must possess a broad working knowledge of flow cytometry testing, with experience in the performance and application of techniques used in complex multi-parametric antibody panels, including sample processing techniques, instrument optimization, data acquisition, and software analysis. Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment, assay validation, quality control, and quality assurance is also required.
The Clinical Test Development Scientist exercises broad independent judgment and decision making abilities, and works under the technical guidance of the department medical director. The employee may also perform routine flow cytometry testing and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required- Three to five years of clinical flow cytometry experience required.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of specialty as it relates to test develop, validation, performance, QC, and QA
- activities.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt positively to change, and interact effectively and professionally with others is also required.
