Bay Care is currently seeking our newest NICU Occupational Therapist to provide specialized, evidence-based therapy services to premature and medically complex infants in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role focuses on optimizing neurodevelopmental outcomes, supporting medical stability, and empowering families through education and collaboration. The therapist works as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, developmentally supportive care. St.

NICU Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations of neuromotor, sensory, and functional development in neonates.
Develop individualized treatment plans to promote optimal positioning, movement patterns, and sensory regulation.
Implement interventions such as therapeutic handling, positioning, infant massage and splinting.
Provide caregiver training on safe handling, positioning, and developmental stimulation.
Facilitate bonding and participation in care routines, including skin-to-skin.
Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning and transition to outpatient or early intervention services.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Incorporate evidence-based practices and adhere to NICU safety protocols.
Requirements:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
OT (Occupational Therapy)
Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy
