Medical Assistant II

** Job purpose
** The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a key role in delivering patient-centered care within a managed care primary care practice. This position supports providers with direct patient care, ensures accurate clinical documentation, and contributes to quality initiatives such as HEDIS oversight. The MA performs clinical tasks including blood draws, injections, wound care, and patient education, while also assisting with care coordination and population health management.

** Perform other duties as assigned, supporting organizational goals and initiatives.
** Qualifications
* * igh School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care, managed care, or outpatient clinic setting preferred.

Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Ability to pass aback ground check
** Physical requirements
** While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds; occasional assistance may be required for heavier loads.

Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess patient needs, perform clinical tasks, and accurately document in the electronic health record. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with exposure to patients who may be ill, injured, or experiencing stress.
